Personal Data That We Collect

User2 collects data to allow effective operation and support for you concerning our services and products.

This data can include but is not limited to:

Name

Address

Contact telephone number (including mobile number)

Email address

Relevant login, password and license details required in order to carry out your request

You provide some of this data directly, such as when you request a repair service, fill in a web form, send an email, or contact us for support. We obtain some of it by recording how you interact with our products by, for example, using technologies like website cookies and receiving error reports. Where relevant we receive data from processes running on your device such as server monitoring software. We may also be sent data about you from approved third parties for software licensing, cloud technologies, domain, broadband services or anti-virus and security products.

How We Use Personal Data

User2 uses the data we collect to operate our business and provide you with the products and services we offer. This includes using data to allow us to support you or your business, recommend suitable products and personalise your experiences such as with login details. We may also use the data to communicate with you, for example, informing you about your account/s, work in progress, security updates and relevant product information.

Reasons We Share Personal Data

We share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any product or service you have requested or authorised. We also share data with approved vendors working on our behalf; when required by law or to respond to legal process; to protect our customers; to maintain the warranty and security of our products; and to protect the rights or property of User2.

How to Access & Control Your Personal Data

If you wish to edit, view or have your personal data held by User2 anonymised, amended or deleted you can make a request for this by contacting the director at 0131 662 9955 or send an email at [email protected]. Certain anonymised data would however need to be retained for legal and financial reasons.

Notice to End Users

Some User2 products and services used in a corporate environment are administered to you by your organisation. Alternatively, these may be provided to you by way of a User2 managed service. Your use of such products and services may be subject to your own organisation’s policies. If your organisation is administering your use of the User2 products and services, please direct your privacy enquiries to your company manager. User2 is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of our customers, which may differ from those set forth in this privacy statement.

If you use an email address provided by an organisation or employer you are affiliated with to access User2 services, the owner of the domain (e.g. your employer) associated with your email address may: (i) control and administer your User2 products and services (ii) access and process your data, including the contents of your communications and files.
